Well, I've seen all the previous actual plays, and I'm still confused. I understand the timey wimey stuff, that's nothing new, get a lot of the references - but what's the overarching deal here? Are Narly and Yog-Sothoth working together? Is Narly opposing Yog-Sothoth? Was the Stag-man Narly? Was that Bug-Gorilla hired help?

The realisation that this was a built narrative of every campaign so far made this much much more daunting. The storytelling was genius and terrifying. Really rewards people that have taken the time to understand the lore so far. If Dom somehow mixes the two American based stories of the Y files and the western campaign it would be crazy! I’m just waiting till he states the name Cthulhu. The community is going to go crazy 😂

i think it would be interesting to see these guys go all the way and play chaotic evil for a mini campaign of like 3 to 6 episodes or so. This way they can accomplish multiple things and reak havoc lol. Iv e always wanted to see a full group be evil though and instead of always being the heroes be the anti hero this time. Like how cool would it be if you were part of a cult that was working towards releasing some evil demon or deity and when your on your way to do this you just so happen to run across some heros that have discovered your plot and are trying to stop it. Or you see that caravan going down the road and youve never let your impulse win by attacking and stealing everything. This needs to happen as the good guys always win and we need a reality check for trpgs lol

Ending Spoilers! Did they go back in time and set up the western episode? Is Tilly the kid going forward and back in time a loop?

Frak, how could I have missed that there is a NEW Call of Cthulhu game?! 😱😍🐙 I know I say this every time but I absolutely Love watching these Call of Cthulhu games and see what the players will do and how they inevitably go insane... Dom is brilliant as the Keeper and the story always surprise and intrigue me! I always need more Call of Cthulhu! "*Cthulhu fhtagn! Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn.*"

I have to say, while modern times is my least favourite Cthulhu setting, I do think it works in the wider grand narrative Dom is spinning here. I tend to prefer my one-shots to be self-contained without an overarching narrative, but if this series is intended to have a grand plot, then it's done very well. None of the callback or references seem in-jokey or gratuitous: it suggests an interconnected tapestry of certain families & lines across decades or even centuries in a very LovecraftIan way (it actually reminds me a lot of "Dark," albeit obviously more blatantly Eldritch). Each of the scenarios seems to be set in a different period, & inspired by CoC Chaosium supplements (& Dom sports different facial hair each eapideo too, which surely can't be coincidence): "The Kiss of the Fish Man" - 1958, Atomic Age Cthulhu; "The Yellow Sign of the Four" - 1888, Cthulhu by Gaslight; "The Y-Files" - 1985, no specific setting but heavy Delta Green vibes; "The Weird, the Mad, & the Ugly" - 1800s, Down Darker Trails; "The Last Night of Freedom" - 2000s, Cthulhu Now I very much hope this continues to be the case, & we explore other periods in history to see how all the tendrils interlock & writhe through time. I'd love to see Dom's world in the time of Cthulhu Dark Ages (my favourite setting), & maybe even go wild with Cthulhu Rising or Cthulhu End Times. Heck, I even think Dom has it in him to hack a setting - we've heard a lot of talk about the Tudors & John Dee over the series, so I suspect maybe some sort of 17th Century adventure down the line. (Is there a Chaotic Neutral wiki? If not, there should be, just to keep track of all this!)

I’m from the US and I even was yelling “All Creatures Great and Small!” when Dom brought up James Harriet. Apparently growing up watching British comedies and dramas has given me more pop culture knowledge than people who grew up in the UK 😂
